Tibetan Acupressure Head Massage
is a different therapy to Indian head massage. It is a
completely unique therapy which draws on the ancient wisdom and
philosophies of Tibetan Ayurveda.
Tibetan acupressure
head massage has been performed for around 6000 years in Tibet,
India and China, and has arrived in the West relatively recently.
Tibetan
medicine believes that 3 meridians/energy channels are located on
the head.
Tibetan
Acupressure Head Massage aims to restore harmony and balance to your
mind and body through the gentle massage of the acupressure points
on the head.
This therapy is
performed with the client fully clothed in a reclining or lying
position - which is the main difference between Tibetan Acupressure
Head Massage and Indian Head Massage. This can either be on a
treatment couch or reclining chair and includes massage of the
scalp, face, neck, throat, shoulders and upper arms.
Tibetan acupressure head massage is a
generally perceived to be a gentler treatment than Indian head
massage. The aim of the treatment is to make a positive change
in the recipient's energy system.
